Ah! The winter blues…especially after the holiday season has come to an end and you’re left with a banging hangover two days after New Year’s Eve. All I want to do right now is sizzle under the warm sun on a sandy beach looking out to the turquoise water… And, doing absolutely nothing! However, a sunny warm holiday won’t be in store till March or even May.

Our friend, Aidan McCauley, just opened a 60-room boutique hotel and resort on the west coast of Antigua… It’s called Sugar Ridge. The resort has two restaurants, three swimming pools, a fitness center and the island’s first Aveda spa. I’m desperately pleading with the time gods to fast forward me to May when we plan to visit.

Look at that room… pure zen. It’s all so very warm and inviting!

Can’t wait to visit, dine at Carmichael’s, try the spa and just bask in the sun.
